Our favourite Eryngium, with typical thistle like flowers. It blooms with the most amazing vivid blue-purple clusters. A medium size herbaceous perennial that has a architectural spiked foliage, along with its more rounded leaves lower down. Provides a great looking plant all year long. Like many floppy herbaceous plants it needs to grow through a small frame / support to avoid it flopping over in Summer.

Leaves: Green, lower leaves round, but spiky higher up towards the flower.
