Hydrangea aspera 'Hot Chocolate'
Sorry, this product is sold out!
aspera 'Hot Chocolate' is a summer flowering, medium sized shrub with dark brown leaves and large pink flowers. Chocolate brown lanceolate leaves that also have a a burgundy under side too that have a fuzzy texture. It's name aspear means Velvet Hydrangea from the Dutch translation. The flower heads are slightly unusual for a hydrangea, and contract vividly against the brown leaves. In the Autumn the leaves fade to ochre-yellow colour with a hint of orange, importantly aspers 'Hot Chocolate' is best planted in shade or only light sun as it will not thrive in full sunshine. Hydrangeas require a lot of water to be vibrant, so do not plant them in dry sites, and new plants will need plenty of regular watering to get them gowing.
