Little Gem is a dwarf variety of Magnolia grandiflora. Less vigorous growing than grandiflora, if you have a space that is too small for Magnolia grandiflora then do consider this. Little Gem’s leaves are smaller and flowers more regularly If you are after a shorter stem than a standard tree, than this is what you need. This is often used by our customers to screen unwanted view above a fence, but, the specimen has to be planted in raised beds, and not at ground level.
