Weigela 'Foliis Purpureis’
Bristol ‘Follis Purpureis' is a deciduous shrub of upright habit, with dark green leaves and pink bell-shaped flowers in late spring and early summer.
This plant is tough and very hardy against frosts, liking a lightly acidic soil. If the pruning is done well with attention to detail, then Weigela like other shrubs pruned in this group will give the back a very dramatic bloom. The new growth that comes after pruning from the base of the plant gives a vibrant and very attractive form. The stems form long uninterrupted growth from top to bottom, making lovely arching stems that bloom incredibly in Summer.
