Weigela florida 'Variegata'

- +

'Florida Variegata' is a compact medium sized deciduous shrub with narrowly ovate, quite dark green leaves edged with cream white, and clusters of large bell shaped light pink flowers

This plant is tough and very hardy against frosts, liking a lightly acidic soil. If the pruning is done well with attention to detail, then Weigela like other shrubs pruned in this group will give the back a very dramatic bloom. The new growth that comes after pruning from the base of the plant gives a vibrant and very attractive form. The stems form long uninterrupted growth from top to bottom, making lovely arching stems that bloom incredibly in Summer.
